Annually, Badin has a Back to School Dance in August for students to attend. However, this year, the dance had to be modified due to COVID-19.
This year, the Back to School Dance was in May, making it a “Back to Summer” event, many students had different opinions of this.
Many students enjoyed the dance because they got to spend time with friends before the end of the year.
“The music was cool, but I mostly liked how many people were there and how everybody was dancing together and hyping each other up,” freshman Kaitlyn Retherford said.
Though a lot of students went to the dance and had fun, many students didn’t go to the dance because of the differences due to COVID-19.
“A dance can’t really be enjoyable with masks on, and especially with it being outside, it would’ve been different,” junior Lindsey McKenna said.
Many students also wished the music would have been different, especially with the dance being outside.
“They should’ve played Nirvana,” freshman Harrison D'Imperio said.
