Every year, Badin hosts a spirit week, complete with daily dress up themes for students to enjoy.
Most years these themes will differ, this year’s themes were fictional characters, pajamas, green, throwback and class color.
Students enjoy the themes because they get to express themselves in fun ways and get a chance to dress up with friends.
“I think that the themes are okay. I think it’s better than wearing a uniform,” junior Jessica Wilmer said.
While the students enjoy themes for the most part, some of the themes get mixed feelings, such as Throwback Thursday.
“Either Pajama Day or Throwback Thursday is my favorite because I personally prefer that to all green and my personal aesthetic is most in line with throwback Thursday,” junior Lindsey McKenna said.
Some students enjoy this theme because they get to express themselves, but other students don’t enjoy them because they don’t have anything to fit the dress code.
“Throwback Thursday is my least favorite because I don’t have anything to wear for it,” senior Evan Drake said.
The majority of students end up participating in the theme days because they want to help their classmates earn points for Spirit Olympics and get a day out of uniform.
“I’m participating because I don’t really want to wear my uniform,” Wilmer said.
