The NCAA March Madness tournament started Thursday, March 18th. Since then everyone has filled out brackets, and predicted their winner. Tyler Allen, Brycen Fox, Avery Brossart, and Ruby Rosenblum had some thoughts.

About 40 million people have filled out a March Madness bracket this year. Now the question is who will actually win this year.

“I think Alabama will win, I watched them throughout the season and they dominated most of the teams they played,” Allen said.

A big upset that happened this week was Loyola Chicago beating Illinois. Loyola is ranked number 8 and Illinois was a 1 seat. Loyola is going into the sweet sixteen they play Oregon State on saturday at 2:40.

“Only 2 words…. Sister Jean,” Fox said.

The next team predicted to win is 1 seat who is in The Sweet sixteen. The Baylor Bears are playing Villanova on Saturday at 5:15.

“The Baylor Bears have the most talented backcourt in the country, playing five guards who average points in double figures, Jared Butler, Davion Mitchell, Macio Teague, Matthew Mayer, and Adam Flagler. The bears also are the best 3point shooting team in the nation. They are one of the very few teams in the country being top ten in defense and offense. Also I'll add the three all Americans they have as well as Naismith candidate Jared Butler and defensive player of the year candidate Davion Mitchell. This team is the championship team,” Brossart said.

Florida State is the next predicted team, they are ranked number 4 and are going into the sweet sixteen. They are playing on Sunday at 5.

“Florida State is altogether a good basketball team,” Rosenblum said.
