Yeah, you read the title right, the students at Badin are picking the songs they think are deserving of the top space.
Earlier this week, a survey was sent out to the students at Badin, it asked students to pick from the list their five favorite songs. Out of the thirteen songs, only three will be picked as the most popular. All the songs on the list were picked randomly off of the Billboards Top 100 chart.
In third place we have the song “Blinding Lights” by the Weeknd. On the Billboards it is rated sixth this week, and it was in the top seat for a while. It has been on the chart for about forty-five weeks after its debut in Nov. 2019. The artist of the song is the Canadian singer, known as the Weeknd. He is a popular artist who has had many hit songs before and after “Blinding Lights”.
Coming up in second we have a tie between the songs “Whats Poppin” and “Heather”. Both popular songs on TikTok and the radio. “Whats Poppin” is a popular song by Jack Harllow featuring DaBaby, Tory Lanez & Lil Wayne. The song came out in January 2020, it has been on the billboard for thirty-five weeks only reaching the second place spot. This week it is in the sixteenth place.
“Heather”, a popular song by artist Conan Gray, can be seen on TikTokand on the radio. The song debuted in March 2020, and has been on the billiards for eight weeks and made it to forty-ninth place. It is still in the same place for this week.
Now for what you all have been waiting for, the most popular song at Badin. “Come and Go” by Juice WRLD and Marshmello, takes the first place mark. The song had debuted in July of 2020, being on the chart for thirteen weeks and reaching second place. Both artists were also recommended on the survey multiple times.
