Senior Ryan Kirkendall has spent his entire life surrounded by people in law. Now that he’s old enough, he intends to become one of those people.
Ryan said he enjoyed arguing and writing and that was a big reason why he wanted to become a lawyer. He wanted to do it all.
“There’s lots of versatility,” Ryan said.
He doesn’t just desire to be a lawyer though. He wants to gain more skills to become a politician.
“It’s a segue into politics,” Ryan said.
Law is a segue into politics just as it is a segue into the courtroom. When asked if Ryan would defend his sister, Meagen, a sophomore, if she was on trial for murder he said he would, because she’s family. His sister Meagan was asked the same question.
“Yes, I would defend Ryan in a murder trial because I know he would be innocent as he is not capable of something like that,” Meagan said.
Even with his sister defending him, everywhere he goes people seem to rally around him, showing that he’s already on route towards his end goal.
“I do think Ryan is suited to be a lawyer because he has the work ethic and motivation he needs to become a good lawyer and defend his client,” Meagan said.
