We know things come up last minute at times but if you know that your child needs to leave early, please follow the early leave procedure:

  • Send a handwritten note with your student in the morning.
  • The student will come to the office between 7-7:30 and turn in the note and then receive a pass to leave class at the designated time.
  • Student will leave class using the pass and come to office and sign out. They can then either drive to their appointment or meet parent at the car to leave for the appointment.

Please try to refrain from sending emails or calling as we need the early leave in writing and sometimes are not able to access email in time to get the early leave note to the student before 7:30. Your cooperation is appreciated.

TESTING UPDATES!

The next SAT will be given on March 9, 2019 at Badin. The deadline is 2-8-19. Sign up at Collegboard.org


The next ACT will be given February 9, 2019 (not at Badin). The deadline was 1-11-19 and the late deadline (additional fee) is 1-18-19.


There will be a free, state-sponsored ACT on February 20, 2019. The test will be administered during the school day for JUNIORS only.

Students have already been enrolled. The scores from this test do count so it is best to set up an account with ACT if you haven't yet done so.

You will be able to access scores this way. To set up an account, go to ACT.org


Some freshmen, sophomores, and juniors will be re-taking one or more parts of the IOWA Tests for graduation points sometime in February. More information will

be forthcoming. Students and parents will be notified with the details.


All seniors have met state testing requirements for graduation.


AP tests will begin May 6, 2019, and run through May 16, 2019. Almost all tests are given off-site. More info to come.

The blood drive will be Wednesday, April 17th. The times are 8:30 to 12:30, and we welcome donors from our Badin Community. They can contact Kay Collins to set up a time to donate, kcollins@badinhs.org.

Calling all parents of 2019 seniors:

It's that time of year again! The yearbook staff is looking for pictures of your seniors as toddlers to put next to their senior pictures in the yearbook. Pictures can be sent both digitally and as physical copies.

If you are emailing your pictures, please send them to Rikki Bell at rbell@badinhs.org. If you are sending them in with your student, please put them in an envelope and Ms. Bell will scan them and return them to your student.

Due Date: March 29, 2019, no exceptions

If you are interested in purchasing an ad in the 2018-2019 yearbook for your senior, please email Rikki Bell at rbell@badinhs.org. The current prices for ads are $100 for a 1/2 page, $75 for a 1/4 page and $50 for a 1/8 page ad. These are the perfect opportunity to celebrate your senior after they graduate! Deadline: March 29, 2019, no exceptions


On March 27, 2019, Badin High School will host its 28th Annual Grandparents’ Day. Grandparents of Sophomore and Senior students are invited to school for 8:45 am Mass in the Pfirman Family Activity Center, a coffee cake breakfast for the grandparents and their Badin grandchildren (sophomore and seniors only), and a visit to their classrooms.

We will send a personal invitation to our grandparent guests so we need you to complete the information below by February 22nd. *If one person would take care of listing the entire family (Badin cousins – sophomore and seniors only) on the form, that will help insure our seating the entire family groups together. Failure to return the information to us in a timely fashion could result in your student(s) not being included in this special day.

The invitation sent to grandparents will have a return reservation card that the Grandparents must return by March 8th. Please communicate with the grandparents and make sure they send their card to Badin.

In Dr. O'Hara's classes, several Badin tenth graders are submitting essays, fiction or poetry to the 23rd Annual Mount St. Joseph University's Sophomore Writing Contest.

Badin's chapter of the National Honor Society had its first meeting of 2019 when we returned from Christmas break. New members were welcomed by the second year seniors, and Erica Brock from the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society talked to the group about the important work that organization is doing.
