How can I volunteer for concessions?
I want to volunteer, but do not want to miss my kids performance. What do I do?
We try to make volunteering rotate out so this does not happen. If you are a high school parent that would like to volunteer but still see their student play, sign up for a Thrusday or Tuesday night game. If you are an 8th grade parent, sign up for Friday night so you can see your kids on Tuesday or Thursday! If you are a 7th or 6th grade parent that would like to volunteer, just pick one! We need the most help on homecoming and Senior night.
I am interested in becoming a member of the boosters and being on the board. How do I do this?
Come to the meetings! Let the directors or anyone currently on the board know you are interested and we vote on positions at the end of each year for the following year. We do not have term limits, but we do ask that each member of the board have a student in band currently and not graduated. (You are still welcome to come to meetings and help out if your student has graduated, you just will not be able to have a vote.
When are the meetings?
We send the meeting dates out on each remind 101 class at least a week in advance.
How do meetings work?
We follow Roberts Rule of Order. We usually will chat for a bit to make sure everyone is on the same page with what is needed to be discussed and then the time will be recorded and the meeting will begin. We go through roll, all who is in attendance (on a sign in sheet at the door), a financial report, old business, new business, and then a vote to adjourn.
If you have questions, please feel free to contact anyone on the booster board or Mrs. Allen for information!
