History of Padlet
Padlet was initially started in 2008 by Nitesh Goel and Pranav Piyush, two friends from India. Nitesh Goel is the current CEO of Padlet. Formerly named Wallwisher, Padlet is a startup company based out of San Francisco. They were able to incorporate in 2012 with funding from the startup accelerator Start Up Chile. In 2018 their financial model switched from being a solely free service to include a paid subscription option. During the pandemic, Padlet saw a significant increase in users as educators tried to find ways to engage with learners from a distance.
