Who We Are
Back Step Strays is a volunteer-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit working to reduce the stray animal population and improve the lives of abandoned, neglected, and at-risk animals in our community. Our efforts focus on spay and neuter advocacy, TNVR (trap, neuter, vaccinate, return), and the rehabilitation and placement of stray animals into loving, permanent homes—all with the goal of creating lasting, humane solutions to the overpopulation crisis.
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide compassionate care and promote responsible pet ownership by fostering a structured network of education and advocacy that serves both animals and the community. With a focused commitment to reducing pet overpopulation through spay and neuter initiatives, we work collaboratively—through community engagement and volunteer service—to strengthen the bond between people and animals and to create lasting, positive outcomes for both.
Thank you for joining us in this journey—together, we are Back Step Strays.
