Who We Are
Back Step Strays is a volunteer-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit working to reduce the stray animal population and improve the lives of abandoned, neglected, and at-risk animals in our community. Our efforts focus on spay and neuter advocacy, TNVR (trap, neuter, vaccinate, return), and the rehabilitation and placement of stray animals into loving, permanent homes—all with the goal of creating lasting, humane solutions to the overpopulation crisis.
Our Mission
Back Step Strays is a volunteer-driven nonprofit committed to reducing pet overpopulation through targeted TNVR (trap, neuter, vaccinate, return) initiatives and comprehensive community education on responsible pet ownership. Our mission is to create a safer, healthier environment for stray and community animals, giving them the opportunity to live stable, healthy, and fulfilling lives while fostering a more compassionate and informed community.
Thank you for joining us in this journey—together, we are Back Step Strays.
