Our Story

Our story began over 20 years ago when we learned of a family that was about to be evicted from their residence just before Christmas.  We made a few phone calls, collected donations, and were able to help the family remain in their home to celebrate Christmas. We were able to help their celebration by providing a tree, decorations, and even a few presents!  Since then, we have "adopted" other Christmas families, "adopted" senior citizens in need, furnished an apartment, donated to classrooms, provided meals to essential workers, fundraised for other nonprofit organizations, and volunteered at numerous community events!  Without the love and support from our family, friends, and community, we would not be where we are today - the founders of an organization connecting people in need to those who are able to help. We named our organization Azusa Connects because it is our mission to connect people to people, people to resources, and to do our part to make our community a brighter place.
