January - February 2022
Donations, towels and toiletries were collected through the month of January and on February 5th the15 ft Towel Tower and 50 cinch sacks filled with toiletries, snacks and Valentine treats were donated to the Shower of Hope. Thank you Mel, Maribel and team for helping our unhouse communities!

Azusa Connects assisted Mayor Robert Gonzales and Councilman Eddie Alvarez collect and replace 148 U.S. American flags. The flags that were turned in will be "properly retired" by the American Legion Post 180, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8070, the Boy Scouts of America, and the Young Marines.

Azusa Connects volunteered along side the members of the Indonesian-American Seventh Day Adventist Church in Azusa to distribute blankets and food to the members of the community.
Autism at the Library

Azusa City Library held an event for children on the autism spectrum which included interactive play, birdhouse painting and in informational presentation for parents of children on the autism spectrum.
Ukrainian Emergency Relief

In collaboration with the Azusa Rotary Club and Azusa Beautiful, Azusa Connects helped collect emergency supplies from community members for the people of Ukraine. Personal products, medical supplies, clothing, and items for children and pets were collected, sorted and delivered to a Ukrainian Church in Downtown, Los Angeles.
YoungLo Skate Project

Azusa Connects invited the YoungLo Skate Project to Memorial Park. There were contests, a product toss and community outreach with the Azusa Police Department. Participants also stuffed cat beds to give to the local animal shelter - inspiring our youth to give back to the community.

Azusa Connects participated in the service project "DEAR California" - we volunteered along side Sandals Church to shovel mulch and compost (donated by Athens Services) into the bins and barrels brought to us by members of the community.

Azusa Connects joined Azusa City Council members, Azusa Beautiful and community volunteers at Northside Park to help plant 50 trees around the city.

"All in for Azusa" held at Resource Fair at Memorial Park. There were workshops, a job fair, hands of activities, music, and a resource fair all in one place! Azusa Connects talked to the community about the benefits of volunteering.

11 cities participated in a bowling tournament hosted by the Azusa Connects Foundation. Prizes and trophies were awarded to the participants. A portion of the proceeds from the day's event went to One Legacy

Valleydale Park
Supervisor, Hilda Solis hosted an evening of music, tacos, ice cream and a resource fair. Azusa Connects was there to get to know our community members.
