Our Facility
Nestled on 92 picturesque acres in the charming village of Merrickville, Ontario, Aztec Equestrian Center offers a premier environment for both horse and rider. Our modern barn features 24 spacious and bright, matted and well bedded stalls designed for maximum comfort and cleanliness, a wash stall with hot and cold water, along with rider-focused amenities including a locker room, viewing room, bathroom, and laundry room for added convenience.
Riders can enjoy year-round training in our heated 60’ x 120’ indoor arena, recently upgraded with brand-new footing for optimal performance and safety.
Outdoors, we offer a variety of turnout options with all-weather footing, a beautifully maintained grass jumping field, and a brand new massive 135’ x 310’ sand arena—perfect for training and competition. For those who enjoy a scenic ride, the property also features peaceful on-site trails and direct access to the Rideau Trail.

Built in 2024, our 310'X135' sand ring is a dream to ride on, with jumps available for schooling practice. The sand ring is also available for outside rentals.

Our grass field allows our boarders to practice for the highest levels of the sport.
Stalls
Stalls
Twenty-five spacious and bright matted stalls, with bedding to maximize comfort and cleanliness. Stalls are mucked and water buckets cleaned every day, with fresh water provided inside each morning and evening. Horses are given professional care with a regular routine of hay, grain, turnout, and night check, including booting and blanketing as required, allowing clients to have peace of mind that their horse is well taken care of.

Our wash stall is matted for the security of the horse and the rider, with no middle drain so your horse will not be scared. A well-sized hose nozzle provides cold and hot water for an efficient bath. The red light solarium for use after the bath is like a day at the spa for your horse!

The Vitafloor is a whole-body vibration (WBV) platform designed to improve a horse's health, fitness, and recovery by stimulating muscle contractions, increasing circulation, and enhancing bone density through non-invasive vertical vibrations. It can aid in rehabilitation, injury prevention and stress reduction by mimicking natural body movements without the strain of hard exercise.

With a comfortable couch and large safety glass window, you can watch horses training in the indoor arena while enjoying a cup of tea or coffee.

Our 60'X120' indoor is heated for year round comfort. The footing is meticulously harrowed on a regular schedule and care is taken to ensure that the arena stays dust-free.

Nine individual all-weather turn outs and seven large grass paddocks provide plenty of room for horses to relax during the day, rain or shine. Quality hay and fresh water are provided outside each day, with heated water available in the winter months for horses on outdoor board.
