Our mission is to support General Music Education in the state of Arizona. We have mentor programs available through NAfME and local educators who are happy to help support each other. We provide professional development sessions at the Arizona Music Educators Association conference yearly.
Feel free to reach out to us! Please be patient for a response, as we are all active music educators, performers, and volunteers in this position.

In addition to Kodaly, Orff, Feierabend, and Dalcroze trainings, using MusicPlay.com, and Quaver Music, many of us also like to include new and old songs into our curriculum.
Here are some favorite YouTube videos that we have used in our general music classrooms! If you have favorites you would like to share, please e-mail azsgmpresident@azmea.org
This is a favorite at the beginning of the year to help kiddos learn a little bit about each other! (Recommended K-4)
Anything by Stephanie Leavell is wonderful for Pre_K-1st graders! She has an amazingly calm voice, great steady beat activities, and my students love singing her KIND song with a positive message!
Pentatonix!!!! Yes, please!
I have Kindergarteners who beg for this song!
A peaceful scarf song K-2
Want the kids to rock out on recorders? This is the one everyone has been raging about! (3rd-5th)
This is one of my favorite Finger Plays to perform with 2nd graders during October. I hope you enjoy it too!

Pass the Pumpkin! A favorite of all ages! There are a ton of versions of this game, the really fun ones include playing an instrument when you are "out". Found on TeachersPayTeachers and on YouTube. After Halloween, you can change the words and item being passed around (apple, snowflake, heart, shamrock, etc.)
