The Arizona BioBlitz Hub establishes opportunities for sharing resources and connections between facilitators of BioBlitz events and other citizen science efforts. The goal is to maximize the quality, engagement, and outputs of our respective BioBlitz endeavors across the state while building a community of interested individuals and organizations. Through a strong network of professionals and community members, we can encourage advocacy for Arizona flora and fauna while collecting data and making scientific experiences more accessible to everyone!

What is the Arizona BioBlitz Hub?

The Arizona BioBlitz Hub is a growing network of individuals and organizations interested in supporting BioBlitz events or citizen science in general. Members work together to increase the capacity and engagement of events, share planning and training resources, and connect potential partners. While open-invite meetings will be scheduled quarterly to allow for in-depth discussions and encourage collaboration, much of the communication facilitated by the Hub occurs over online platforms like Slack and shared Google Drives. By sharing resources and expertise, Arizona BioBlitz facilitators can save critical time (like using templates for foundational steps like registration and operations manuals) and reach a broader audience for event marketing campaigns and volunteer searches.
