There are many ways you can help Gila County Democrats elect Democratic candidates. Opportunities include canvassing, phone calls, texting, postcard mailings, election workers, event organizers, newsletter, social media.
Precinct Volunteer
In 2021, Gila County Dems are beginning a neighborhood outreach program designed to familiarize our PCs with the Democratic voters within their own precincts. This outreach is via postcards, phone calls, and door to door canvassing. PCs are hosting neighborhood events for Democrats to meet other Democrats within their precinct. Each precinct is in need of volunteers to help with this outreach. If you would like to help with this effort, and get to know many more Democrats in your precinct, please volunteer!

Looking to take action? From time to time, we will post action alerts, informing you of ways that you can help get your voice heard. These actions may take the form of phone calls to your elected officials, emails, postcards, petitions, or even demonstrations.
One way to take daily action on a number of different topics, is to sign up for 5Calls.org. You can set your location which will identify your Congress person and Senators. Then pick your topic from the list on the left side of the screen. That will give you a description of the issue, talking points about the issue, and even a script to help you make your call to your representatives. Let them know how you feel. Keep the pressure on for the topics that matter to you.
A PC (Precinct Committeeperson) is a neighborhood representative of the local Democratic Party that supports candidates, informs voters, and motivates people to vote.
Call or email your legislators and tell them where you stand on the issues.

The Request To Speak program (RTS) is designed to allow the public to register an opinion on bills listed on agendas and to request to speak on a bill in a committee. You will need an account to participate (find out how to obtain one in the "How To" link below). Although the name implies that you want to speak, that is not at all necessary; you may register your opinions from the comfort of your home.
RTS is accessed on the AZ Legislature's website: https://www.azleg.gov/. You will find the link under the "Legislative Information" menu tab. Or, access it directly here: https://apps.azleg.gov/RequestToSpeak/UpcomingAgendas

You may also sign up for an account by filling out this form on the Civic Engagement Beyond Voting (CEBV) website: Sign up for an RTS Account
