No Kings Flag Day Rally
On June 14th, a Sunday, we'll be holding a rally in front of the Gila County Courthouse here in Payson. Since the weather has warmed up, we're starting at 8am and running till 10am. Be sure to wear your sunscreen and bring water and a hat. Since it is Flag Day, bring your flags, too. We'll have extra signs at the event if you don't have one already. This day especially, we want our voices heard. No Kings in this country. Bring friends and family to this peaceful rally. We'll have voter registrations, and both Defend Education and Defend the Vote petitions on hand for you to sign if you haven't already. Click on the picture above to go to the sign up link.
Mark your calendars! On June 19th, the Gila County Dems will be holding a drive through voter registration and petition signing. We'll be under a canopy between the ball field and the Payson Library parking lot. Hours are 9am till noon. If you haven't had a chance to sign the petitions, this is your time! In addition to registering new voters, we can show you how to check your voter registration to make sure you haven't been dropped from the voting roles. The last day to register to vote on July 21st local election and Party Primaries, is June 22nd. Don't delay. Make sure your voice is heard. Click on the image above to register.
Pledge your support for the Protect Education Initiative
A coalition of Arizona families and educators represented by the Arizona Education Association and Save Our Schools Arizona is launching a ballot measure to bring accountability and transparency to Arizona’s $1 billion universal ESA voucher program, while improving safety standards, preserving flexibility for students with disabilities, and recovering critically needed funds for Arizona’s local public schools.
The Arizona legislature has obstinately refused to add any guardrails to the program for three years, leading to massive fraud, waste, and unsafe situations for kids. We the people must now take matters into our own hands to deliver the real change our schools, students, and state need. For more information, click on the image above.
Democrats believe health care is a right, diversity is a strength,
the economy should work for everyone, and facts and truth matter.
The Gila County Democratic Party is asking for your support.
Our mission is to elect Democrats in all local, state, and national elections.
Our current goal is to maintain a year-round Democratic office in Payson, followed by another in Globe. To do this, we ask for your support with a monthly donation, large or small, which will assure us a steady income stream for rent.
Your $10 or more monthly donation helps us with rent and utilities.
Your $5 monthly donation helps us with office supplies.
One-time donations will be used for Gila County voter outreach, including mailings and ads.
We appreciate all donations, large and small, to help us reach our goal.
Want info? Want to chat? Need to talk about upcoming elections? Looking to volunteer? Stop on by and say hi!
Gila County Democratic Party Chair, Connie Cockrell, will hold Office Hours every Wednesday, from 9 am till 11 am at the Dem HQ in Payson, 110 E. Bonita St. The office is also open on Saturdays from 10 am to 12 pm for "Donuts with Dems".
Become a Precinct Committee Person!
Gila County has 72 PC positions empty. New PCs bring fresh energy, while returning PCs bring invaluable wisdom. By recruiting just 3 more, we can multiply our strength even further!
Precinct leaders are the backbone of our democracy. They connect neighbors to the ballot box, organize volunteers, and ensure our communities are represented in decisions that impact our daily lives.
When you become a PC, you're not just filling a role—you’re building power where it matters most. And by bringing 3 more people with you, you're amplifying that impact throughout your community!
Don't know your precinct? No problem, ask us and we'll find out for you.
