FULL RUN- THRU OF "BEYOND THE BRIDGE"

at The Dance Project

June 3rd and 4th

9:15am -3:15pm

All Dancers in the Beyond the Bridge Cast (Recreational Classes ages 5+, Strut, Troupe and All Comp Teams)

At this rehearsal, dancers and staff will work through the entire show from top to bottom.

Why a Full Run-Thru?

Beyond the Bridge is not your typical recital. It’s an original dance-theatre hybrid where every scene, every transition, and every dance routine is part of one continuous story. This means:

➡️ Dancers are characters, not just performers.
➡️ Every transition is part of the storytelling.
➡️ Flow and timing are critical to the audience’s experience.

Because of this unique format, it’s essential that we rehearse the entire show from top to bottom before we step into the theater. This allows our dancers and staff to:

✅ Learn the full show flow
✅ Practice entrances, exits, and scene transitions
✅ Understand how their pieces fit into the big picture
✅ Ensure the storyline is seamless, immersive, and impactful

This full run-thru will make our on-stage rehearsal at the theater much more efficient, focused, and polished, ensuring Beyond the Bridge is the stunning, immersive experience we’ve all been working toward.

June 9th and 10th

Stage Rehearsal and Pictures will be on the same day. Dancers need to arrive 15 minutes prior to their allotted rehearsal time IN COSTUME, with makeup and hair ready for pictures. Upon arrival, dancers and parents can find a seat in the audience. Classes will be called to stage from the audience. There will be a dressing room available to change in.

STAGE REHEARSAL

At this rehearsal, dancers will become familiar with the stage, entrances/exits, and dressing rooms ensuring that they are comfortable and confident for performance day. Dancers, please arrive in your recital costume, hair and makeup stage ready and with all necessary accessories and dance shoes. After arriving, dancers will wait in the audience until their class is called up on stage. If your dancer is in more than one class, there is a dressing room backstage for costume changes. Kids in multiple classes are welcome to pack snacks, and bring something quite to entertain themselves with since they will be hanging out with us for a while. Exact rehearsal time slots will be posted in May. Immediately after their stage rehearsal, dancers will be escorted by a staff member to go take recital pictures.

PICTURES

Dance Pictures will immediately follow your class’s stage rehearsal at The Vista. All dancers will take a class photo (there is no charge to be in the group photo). Please note that Dance Project staff will accompany the dancers to the picture station. We know it's exciting and often parents want to watch pictures being taken but it's very distracting and difficult to get great pictures with lots of extra eyes and bodies so therefore parents will not be allowed to be in the picture area. While dancers are having their pictures taken, parents/guardians will be taken on a guided tour to learn where to drop off and pick up their dancing stars. This is an important part of the stage rehearsal to ensure that show day goes smooth.
