Sonam Mittal is an activist working on prevention of sexual harassment in the workplace. She works as a consultant to support corporate organizations achieve total compliance under Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013.
Sonam Mittal has completed the Executive Certification Course in Sexual Harassment Prevention and Workplace Diversity, from the West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (NUJS), Kolkata. This certification gives her the requisite legal expertise towards anti-sexual harassment measures.
Sonam Mittal has been a social activist for a decade and has over five years of experience in leading activities for POSH compliance in organizations such as The American India Foundation, Central Square Foundation and Rang De. She also assists victims of sexual harassment in dealing with their trauma and legal battles.
Sonam Mittal has personally experienced sexual harassment in the workplace, and rape. Her campaign for justice provided her with a unique perspective as a victim / survivor. Having dealt with the issue as an employee has provided her with a sensitive perspective that adds holistic value for employers.
