Ayesha Ali is a self-taught hand-lettering artist based just outside of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. AyeshaLetters is her passion project wherein she mostly works digitally to create playful script lettering. Her deep admiration for nature is evident in the upbeat colours and floral motifs she employs in her work. Although she is new to the world of commercial art, she is no stranger to commissioned work and has had the pleasure of working with brides on wedding keepsakes, local teachers on class stationery, and apps like PicCollage on unique templates for digital collages. She has also had the pleasure of teaching an introductory calligraphy workshop for Islamic Relief's UTSC chapter. You can find some of her artwork in sticker-form via her Etsy shop (some of which have been featured on BuzzFeed!). Currently, she is delving into the world of pointed pen calligraphy, but she holds a special place in her heart for the creations borne from the tiny screen of her iPad, and dreams of taking her work large-scale.Â
