Mission Statement
The purpose of the PTO is to enhance and support the educational experience at Overlook Middle School, develop a closer connection between school and home by encouraging parent and teacher involvement, and improve the environment at Overlook through volunteer and financial support.
We invite YOU to become a MEMBER of the Overlook Middle School PTO.
We appreciate the support you’ve given at the elementary schools and the middle school. We hope you will consider becoming a PTO member at Overlook and continue to support the teachers, staff, students, and community at Overlook.
This past year was our first year of the new PTO at the middle school and we are proud of all we accomplished: Teacher appreciation week activities, Holiday Hot Cocoa, Concessions at Drama Club performances, and more. We have big plans for MORE this next school year and need your support to make it happen.
To become a 2024-2025 PTO member:
● Fill out the membership Google Doc: 2024-2025 Join PTO Form
● Pay the $5 dues with cash or check to “OMS PTO” and bring it to the office. Or Venmo @overlookmspto and comment “2024 membership for (your name).”
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to pay dues?
No, you are not required to pay dues. Every parent and teacher is part of the PTO. However, paying members have the opportunity to have a voice in PTO decisions. Annual dues are $5.00 per voting member with submission of join-up form. Click on links belowand go to "Donate Now" page for QR code.
Do I have to go to meetings?
No, you are not required to come to meetings. If you are unable to attend meetings, your input is still valuable to us and we welcome comments and questions from PTO members at anytime. Meetings are the 2nd Tuesday of each month, 6-7 pm.
Do I have to volunteer?
No, you are not required to volunteer. We deeply appreciate our parent and teacher volunteers, but we understand that not everyone is able to contribute their time in this way. What at dues and donations used for?
Dues are a way to support your child and Overlook by being engaged in their learning community while working with an amazing team of parents and teachers. 100% of your PTO membership stays with Overlook. Donations are accepted in the form of money, time, services, food, and giftcards.
