RESILIENCE, HEROISM, and HUMAN CONNECTION

The 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, is significant because it marks a point where an entire generation has no living memory of the day. This summer, we look back not just to commemorate and learn about the tragedy, but to honor the helpers who rose to meet it. On Literacy Day, Friday, September 11, 2026, the Oakmont community will participate in the nationwide National Day of Service and Remembrance.

This year's literacy assignment has THREE (3) parts. Individually, each part is relatively short, but equally important, and contributes to the overall assignment. This assignment is to be completed over the summer so please make sure you have finished all three (3) parts before Literacy Day on Friday, September 11th.
