What is a Pecha Kucha?
Pechakucha (pronounced pet-cha-koo-cha) is a presentation format which started in Japan in 2003 and means 'chit chat' in Japanese. You have a prescribed number of slides with each advancing after a prescribed number of seconds. (E.g x20 slides x20 seconds for each slide).
The theme of YOUR Pecha Kucha is all about your 2021 school year.
What will you talk about?
Highlights of 2021: Camp, Morere Visit, Lock down, Friendships, Learning areas, Sports, Electives, Kapa Haka, Sports Tournaments, Bike track, Road Patrols, Sports/House leaders, librarians, wet day monitors, Cross country Privilege days, Matariki Buddy class, Matariki Hangi, Parafed, Kaiako, Art days, School Photos, Beach/School clean up, swimming, reading, writing, math, or a combination of everything?

Pecha Kucha Step One - Planning
Before you start creating you have to make a plan for each slide. Think about how you will organise this? Will you assign a slide to a different topic? Will you sequence your slide in order of the events happening? For example Camp, Morere trip, swimming, Term 1 learning, Art or will you have 5 slides for each term and pick your highlights from each term?
SMRF the Google Doc planning sheet into your Inquiry folder. Remember to name and date it.
Talk in your cooperative groups about different ideas you might have.

Your Kaiako will create a shared photo album with you so you can select photos to support your words in your Pecha Kucha.
