After School Dismissal Procedures
We offer several dismissal options for students when leaving campus. To help us ensure the safety of all students, we ask that no changes be made to your student's go-home routine after 2:00 p.m. on the day of the change (or by 12:00 p.m. on Early Release Wednesdays). We understand that emergencies happen, and we will do our best to accommodate your family should an emergency arise.
Dismissal Options by Grade
Grades 2nd–6th (3 Options): Parent Pick-Up, Bus (if eligible), or Walker.
Grades TK–1st (2 Options): Parent Pick-Up or Bus (if eligible).
Note: TK–1st grade students may walk home only if they are accompanied by a sibling in grades 2nd–6th.
Dismissal Details
Parent Pick-Up
The YL parent pick-up circle is located on the back side of the school off Rancherias Road. Students are escorted to their vehicles by our wonderful staff. Once your vehicle comes to a complete stop, a staff member will help open the door for your student(s). Please wait for our staff member to ensure your car door is securely shut before driving away.
Pro Tip: To expedite the process, please display a sign with your student’s name on your car's dashboard.
Reminder: Always exit right onto Rancherias Road.
Bus
Let one of our professional and friendly bus drivers pick up your student(s) at the front of Yucca Loma and drop them off at their designated bus stop.

Walkers
North Rancherias Walkers: This gate is designated for 2nd–6th grade walkers who live north and east of Rancherias and Yucca Loma Road. Once our staff members walk students safely across the crosswalk, students will walk home on their own.
South Rancherias Walkers: This gate is designated for 2nd–6th grade walkers who live south of Rancherias and Powhatan Road. Once our staff members guide students safely through the parent pick-up gate, students will walk home on their own.
Yucca Loma Road Walkers: This gate is designated for 2nd–6th grade walkers who live west of the school (towards Vineyards). Once our staff members guide students safely through the bus gate, students will walk home on their own
