Welcome to the 2026/27 school year!  Students' first day is Thursday, August 6th!  We are busily preparing for your student's arrival and are looking forward to an amazing year together.  Please make sure you are logged in to your Focus Parent Portal account.  We send out a weekly announcement each Sunday evening.  If you are not getting it, give us a call and we can help you get connected.

We have held our annual Meet n Greet for our youngest Roadrunners already, but have no fear if you are new to Rancho Verde this year.  Read on to discover how you can still participate with your child in some activities this week and beyond!

Morning Routines for Thursday the 6th (1st day of school) and Friday the 7th

Book giveaway- While supplies last, our staff has collected some new and used books that will be available to students/parents on the morning of our first day of school.  Please feel free to select one book per student and let's give these items a new home.

On Thursday and Friday morning...

  • Greeters will be out in front of the school with class lists.  If you are not sure who your student's teacher is, find a greeter.

  • Maps and escorts (students and adults) will be available to guide you so you can walk with your student to find their classroom and teacher.

  • There is no AM recess on these days.  Students may go to the cafeteria to eat breakfast before going to their classroom.  Teachers will be at their classrooms to greet you and students.

  • All parents will leave the campus at 9:10, which is the start of instructional time.  Next week, we return to our regular procedures and only students are allowed to walk through the front gates to enter the campus.  Non student visitors to the campus will need to check in with the front office and be escorted to their destination by a staff member.

Back to School night- Please join us on Wednesday, August 19th from 5:30-7:00pm to meet staff and tour your child's classroom!  We hope everyone can make it!

Our Mission

Rancho Verde, where students, staff and parents learn together.

Rancho Verde Elementary school is a PreK-6 campus that mostly services our neighborhood students. As a Professional Learning Community (PLC), we value weekly opportunities to collaborate with our colleagues to apply best practices in the classroom, plan lessons and assess student learning. Board adopted curriculum, such as Orton-Gillingham (Phonics), Write From the Beginning and Beyond (Writing) and Go Math! allows for a more interactive approach with hands-on learning and technology in the classroom. One of our site goals is that all students exiting 3rd grade are reading at or above the 3rd grade level.

PBIS

Rancho Verde was recognized for successful PBIS implementation for the 2018-2019 school year.
