The AVUSD State Preschool Program is enrolling students. If you are interested in enrolling your 3 or 4 year old child, please begin the enrollment process by following the steps below.
Please keep in mind that our preschool program is an “income qualifying program.” We must be able to show the state auditors proof that the families of our preschool students meet the state’s income limits. All requirements are explained here:
If you think you meet those requirements, please follow these steps:
Step 1: Families that live in Apple Valley should Express Pre-Enroll.
If you live in a High Desert city other than Apple Valley, you will not be allowed to complete the online registration. You may call our office at 760-247-2052 ext 30203 for further assistance.
Step 2: Call the Preschool Office to set an appointment and bring all documents requested to your enrollment appointment.
You will need the documents listed below:
Birth Certificate, Baptism Certificate, Passport, or other state-approved Birth Verification for ALL children in the home under the age of 18.
Proof of a valid address within San Bernardino County. Preschool does not require that you live in Apple Valley.
Up-to-date Immunization Record. There is more information on requirements at shotsforschool.org.
Proof of income
Include all documents that show the gross income for the last 30 consecutive days for the entire household. Income earned by all members in the place of residence must be included even if they are not a parent or legal guardian.
If you have 50/50 custody of a child, BOTH family units are considered a household and both households must qualify independently. Must show original court documents with a purple seal.
