Enrollment

The AVUSD State Preschool Program is enrolling students. If you are interested in enrolling your 3- or 4-year-old child, please begin the enrollment process by following the steps in the enrollment flyer. 

Preschool enrollment is prioritized according to California Department of Education guidelines.

First Priority: Recipients of Child Protective Services

Second Priority: Children with Exceptional Needs (must have current IEP or IFSP)  with incomes below the income eligibility threshold.

Third Priority: Eligible three- and four-year-old children who are not enrolled in a TK program. Within this priority category, eligible children with the lowest income according to the income ranking on the most recent schedule of income ceiling eligibility table. Will require proof of income. 

Fourth Priority: *NEW* Children of LEA (District) employees regardless of income. 

Fifth Priority: After all otherwise eligible children have been enrolled, shall be children from families whose income is no more than 15 percent above the eligibility income threshold.
