Cataleya P., 4th Grade

We are thrilled to introduce Cataleya, our 4th Grade Student of the Month at Robles Elementary School. She embodies the core values of our school's R.O.A.R. program—Responsible, Open-Minded, Accountable, and Respectful—and stands out as an exceptional role model for her peers.

Cataleya demonstrates an exceptional sense of responsibility both in and out of the classroom. She consistently completes her assignments on time and takes her academic responsibilities seriously. Cataleya understands that learning is a partnership, and she actively participates in group projects and collaborative activities, always contributing her best effort. Her responsible nature extends beyond academics as she can be counted on to follow classroom rules and be a positive influence on her classmates.

Accountability is a hallmark of Cataleya's character. She takes ownership of her actions and understands the importance of making responsible choices. Cataleya consistently demonstrates integrity, and when she makes a mistake, she learns from it, showing maturity beyond her years. Her commitment to being accountable serves as an example for her fellow students.

Cataleya embodies the qualities we seek to instill in all our students at Robles Elementary School. Her sense of responsibility, open-mindedness, accountability, and respectfulness shine as bright examples for her peers to follow. We are proud to have Cataleya as our 4th Grade Student of the Month, and we look forward to seeing her continued growth and positive influence in our school community. Congratulations, Cataleya!

Noel Dowell, First Grade Teacher

Mrs. Dowell is a shining example of dedication and unwavering commitment to our school community. Her tireless efforts and boundless enthusiasm for her role as an educator have not only made her stand out but have also made a profound impact on our students and staff alike. It is with great pleasure that we recognize her as our Staff of the Month.

Mrs. Dowell started as a first year teacher with us last school year and was a sub teacher prior to that. It has been amazing to see her growth from a first year teacher to this school year as she continues to apply new skills to support her students.

One of the most remarkable aspects of Noel's work is her willingness to go above and beyond for her students. She demonstrates an extraordinary level of dedication to their success, and this is evident in every action she takes. Whether it's staying late to address parent concerns or enlisting the support of families for classroom projects, Noel's commitment knows no bounds.

Noel's genuine care and concern for her students shine through in all of her actions. Her classroom is not just a place of learning; it's a nurturing environment where every student feels valued and supported. She has a unique ability to connect with each child on a personal level, understanding their strengths, challenges, and needs.

Noel doesn't stop at the classroom door. She's an inspiration to her fellow staff members, reminding us all of the profound impact a dedicated educator can have. Her tireless work ethic, unwavering commitment to her students, and the sheer love she exudes for her job makes her a role model for all of us.

Altar Valley Middle School All-Star Student of the Month

Juan A., 6th Grade

To some, a new experience can be frightening, however, this amazing student did more than just fine. His start has been excellent! Being new to the school district requires many adjustments, but Juan is such a delight that he has already made many friends. He is a bright, enthusiastic, and energetic young man. I like how he gets excited about learning. Juan, also known as JJ, starts right away after you give him the instructions for the task that they will be doing in class. He's a kid with a lot of great ideas. He is the type of child who will remind you to rekindle your passion for teaching when you are about to give up.

S.O.A.R. is another name for JJ. He exemplifies Safe by creating an environment wherein everyone feels welcome and even entertained. He can make you laugh without even trying. He is Open-minded, and takes new ideas and tries new things with excitement. Many of his remarks will surprise you. He is Accountable by setting high expectations for himself and works on them diligently. He is consistent with showing Respect to both students and adults, inside and outside of the classroom.

Your personality and your accomplishments are admirable, JJ. Keep, S.O.A.R.ing!

Julie Venglarcik, 7th/8th Grade Science Teacher

When you think of someone who is so passionate about everything she does, you can't help but think of Julie. Whether it is an idea, an activity, or an endeavor, she approaches everything with great enthusiasm and a curious mind. Her full attention is given to every detail, and she analyzes it thoroughly. This makes her a great example to our students of being a lifelong learner. When you ask Julie for help, she goes all out and supplies you with whatever she can offer. Her supportive spirit is a motivation to people she works with.

Julie has been a major help this year with Kidstruction, she has made sure we are in constant contact throughout the entire project and has made sure both students and staff have every supply needed. She is always willing to help us and lend a supportive informational hand when needed. This year two of our teams took third place providing evidence of the hard work to the process of student led instruction!

We can’t imagine Altar Valley Middle School without the great Science hero, keep SOARing Ms. V!
