AVMS Art Club

AVMS Art Club, led by Mr. Sapul, made its debut at Three Points 14th Community Festival held at Robles Elementary School. Art Club students showcased their different artworks like geometric acrylic on canvases, abstract paintings, and three-dimensional drawings in the said event.

In addition, Art students also volunteered to give free face painting to the community with the assistance of Miss Montierth, Miss Matyjasik, Mrs. Nicholas, and Mr. Sapul. They offered different designs for the community to choose from like unicorn, flower, fire, cactus, rainbow, butterfly, snake, Spiderman, and Halloween-themed designs like spider web and pumpkin. They had so much fun face painting. We painted over 400 faces!!

For the first two months of this school year, the Art Club focused on the elements of art and different shading and painting techniques. Moving forward, the club will be doing digital art starting in the second semester.

Israel Cordova

Groundskeeper

Israel is the newest member of the Altar Valley school district’s Operations department and has done an outstanding job!!

He was hired as the Groundskeeper but has also stepped up to assist with Maintenance tasks when needed.

His past work experience with the an another school district and also with the NFL’s Detroit Lions facilities departments has helped him make a very smooth transition for us.

There was a lot of work that Israel has had to catch up on or learn in his start-up here, but he has done a nice job. He is always smiling and exudes a positive attitude which everyone can see. He hit the ground running and has brought our campuses to a very presentable state. We are confident he will keep our sites looking top-notch. Israel Cordova

Gennesis Lopez

First Grade Teacher

Ms. Lopez is an amazing teacher who is kind, generous and knowledgeable! She is the perfect role model for all staff members here at Robles as she teaches first grade. She truly creates an equitable classroom environment for all. Her students and families love her as she builds positive relationships with them through constant communication. She also builds trusting relationships with staff members and can be counted on to lend a helping hand in a time of need. She instills an “I Can” attitude with her students, holding high expectations for them academically, socially and emotionally. We are very pleased that Ms. Lopez has returned to Robles to be part of our Bobcat team.
