The Family Resource Center is designed to serve and support families with children birth through age 5. The Family Resource Center is funded by First Things First with United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona serving as the lead grantee, and implemented in partnership with Casa de los Niños, Easterseals Blake Foundation, Make Way for Books, Parent Aid and UA Community Extension Programs. All programs and activities are FREE.

Programs at the Family Resource Center will include fun, hands-on activities that encourage interaction between children and their grown-ups. These parenting activities are designed to support the children’s development, provide information and resources to families and nurture their sense of community with other parents.

Parent education courses will also be offered across a variety of topics from positive discipline to supporting children through divorce. Childcare will be offered during these courses with some workshops being available virtually.

Finally, the Center will offer more intensive support for families who need help in navigating complex systems to provide for their children.

Classes are held in the Family Resource Center at Robles Elementary.

CPR /AED & First Aid Certification

We had 27 people that became CPR certified during our CPR class. These included staff members, parents, and caregivers. They are all more confident that they can respond appropriately in case of an emergency.

Stay & Play

Play is the best avenue for learning! We had grown ups and their children play and socialize together with a variety of materials to enhance all areas of development. The focus of this day’s class was counting. Families learned about the process toddlers go through to learn to count and how to best support them.

Join us on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of every month from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
