We also are working our way through reading the book Firegirl by Tony Abbott. We had a quiz last week on Chapters 8-12.

This week we wrapped up all Quarter 3 work. When students come back from spring break, Quarter 4 begins with:
Informational reading and writing
finishing up with reading, discussion and literary analysis of "Planet Middle School"
IXL: vocabulary, punctuating quotations, formal tone, MSTEP prep questions
GALRIE 1-7 Review, including student presentations, GALRIE 8

Science 6:
On Wednesday, students will have a quiz on Symbiosis. I have resources for studying in our Google Classroom. Remember only your student can open the Google Classroom.
Shout out to all the families that donated the materials we will use to conduct the consumer experiments. I plan for the experiments to take place April 14th.

Reminder about Google Classroom. This site can only be logged into by Students so Parents will need their student to log into it if they need to get in. The Google Classroom list ALL assignments, with directions and digitally attached copies of the worksheet as well as any notes or resources that may be help to complete the work. There are no grades in Google Classroom.

Week of 2-23 to 2-26
This week, students concluded their look into spatial inequalities of Mexico City, diving into four different neighborhoods that exemplify those inequalities. They were tested on it this Thursday. Test re-take dates will be announced by the end of the weekend.
Next week, we will begin our new unit on the Carribean and hurricanes, discussing the basics of how they work and how it affects the people living there.
