I have been teaching for over 30 years. I started teaching third grade in Torrington, CT before coming to Pine Grove School to teach first grade. I earned my undergraduate degree in Education from Boston College. I then went on to earn my Masters from Central Connecticut State University in Reading.
I love teaching and look frward to coming to work each day to see my students. First grade is an amazing year and it is wonderful to watch them grow and learn throughout the year.
Outside of school I spend most of my time with my family. My husband and I have two wonderful boys. Nicholas is 21 years old and Jack is 19 years old. Nick is a Senior at Lasalle University and is very excited to be playing baseball at the next level. He is a pitcher and also enjoys giving pitching lessons throughout the year. Jack is a Sophomore at the University of St. Joseph and is also excited to be playing baseball at the next level. Jack is an infielder and enjoyed playing for the New Britain Bees this summer. Baseball has really become a year round sport in my family now. Aside from going to all their games, together we love to go swimming, go to the beach, visit family and friends, go on bike rides, go to other sporting events, play with our dog Rigley and so much more.
If I am not spending time with my family I enjoy reading, going for walks with our chocolate lab, Rigley, relaxing on the beach and getting together with friends and my siblings.
Thank you so much for sharing your child with me this year. I am looking forward to a GREAT year!
