When I was in Kindergarten, my teacher asked us to write about what we wanted to be when we grew up. I told her that I didn't want to grow up, but if I had to, I wanted to be a teacher!
My philosophy of teaching is simple: I strive to create a motivational learning environment and get to know my students as individuals to teach to their learning style. I can truly say that I love my job and feel fortunate that my work with children is something I feel passionate about.
I attended Boston College, graduating in 2000 with a major degree in Early Childhood Education and a double minor in Human Development and Organizational Behavior. I stayed at BC to pursue my Master’s Degree in Special Education in 2001. This will be my 22nd year of teaching and my 18th here at Pine Grove!
I have been married to my husband John for 20 years and we have two amazing sons! Brady is 16 years old, entering his junior year of high school and Jackson is 13-1/2, entering grade 8! We also have a very funny French Bulldog named Stitch! I love playing with my two sons, teaching them new things, and seeing the world through their eyes. I am a soccer mom all year long! We also love to ski, hike, kayak, play tennis and READ!
