Ms. Gooding graduated from Wesleyan University in 2004 with a B.A. in psychology. After graduating from Wesleyan, she became the coordinator for Yale University’s Haskins Laboratory conducting research on language development in infants and toddlers. After two years at Haskins, her education continued at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst where she earned her Masters and 6th year degrees in School Psychology in 2009. During her graduate studies, her work involved providing academic, social, and emotional support to students in a number of districts. This is her 10th year working in Avon. She began her tenure at Pine Grove and Thompson Brook School before coming to Avon Middle School and serving as the full time school psychologist and PPT Chair.
