What started off as a modest experiment 5 decades ago in 1970, the Arya Vidya Mandir Group of Institutions today comprises of three recognized co-educational schools affiliated to the ICSE Board, each being a three division school with classes from Playschool to Std. X. (ICSE) - AVM Bandra West, AVM Bandra East, AVM Juhu besides the AVM Institute of Early Childcare Education and the Institute of Special Education. At AVM, we have put the overall development of the children above all else and alongside a strong academic programme assisted by Smart Classrooms and experiential education, we also inculcate a strong sense of spiritualism and Indian culture. The schools are cosmopolitan in nature and are managed by the Arya Vidya Mandir Society.

In order to widen its umbrella of providing education, the Society laid the foundation for Vasudev C. Wadhwa Arya Vidya Mandir in the suave Bandra-Kurla Complex area. A spacious and well-equipped school building which was meticulously designed to cater to the diverse needs of the students from the Pre-Primary to the Secondary Section. Since its inauguration by the then Governor, Mr. P.C Alexander on 3rd May, 1999, the Management and staff have left no stone unturned to deliver the very best learning experiences to every child. Moulding our students with different modes of teaching like the Holistic Learning Programme, Multi -Dimensional Learning, Need Based Learning Programme as well as the use of cognitive research tools, the school provides a welcoming yet disciplined atmosphere.

The illustrious and distinguished roll of honour of the Alumni continues to lead by example in various sections of society. The annals of AVM’s history is replete with overwhelming stories of tremendous growth from strength to strength with unquestionable support from its patrons, the AVM Management and the PTA. Today, a historic milestone has been achieved by our student Master Kashyap Khandewal of Vasudev C Wadhwa Arya Vidya Mandir Bandra East, who has now the distinction of being the first student in AVM to secure the 2nd position in the All India Rank Merit list of the ICSE Examinations 2022. The ice has thus been broken and we are sure many will follow his footsteps in the coming years.
