Jamie Michael, M.A.T., LDT, CALT

My name is Jamie Michael, and I am blessed to have this venture in private therapy. My undergraduate and graduate degrees were earned through Dallas Baptist University. My Bachelor of Arts degree is in Elementary Education, with a specialization in Reading and a minor in Early Childhood. My Master of Arts degree in Teaching was earned with a specialization in multisensory education. I am a Licensed Dyslexia Therapist and Certified Academic Language Therapist. As a trainee with the June Shelton School and Evaluation Center through their Multisensory Structured Language Education program, I have been trained and certified in the MTA (Multisensory Teaching Approach) Curriculum for reading and dyslexia intervention. Throughout my 28 years in education, I have served as a general education teacher, specialist, and acting administrator. Over the past eight years, I have worked in Lewisville ISD as a Literacy Dyslexia Interventionist. My husband and I have three beautfiul daughters who are in a season of starting their own families and careers. A few of the things I absolutely love are teaching, reading, and spending time with my family.
