The top 3 entries from each category at each school in the District, along with select schools from neighboring districts, will be on display.
The categories include:
Environmental/Agricultural Innovation
Invention
Reverse Engineering
Robotics
Computer Science
Rube Goldberg
Science Fiction
Scientific Inquiry
Health Communication
Community judges will determine 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in each category.
Junior and Senior students who win the District Event will advance to the Los Angeles County Science and Engineering Fair in March 2027.
Participants will first identify if they want to do an original project or an extension of a project/lab they’ve already done for a STEM class. Next, students will decide whether to work as a team (maximum of 4 participants per team) or individually. Entries will compete at the site level. The top 3 students in each category will advance to the district-level competition. The winners in each category will be entered into a raffle to win prizes!
