Hello, my name is Erich, but my students usually call me Gaub. I am an AP World History, Economics, and AP Human Geography teacher here at Eastside High School. I am also co- EL Coordinator. In my free time I love anything sports, especially hockey, baseball, and football, and enjoy reading as well. I am looking forward to a very good school year.
Hello(: My name is Jessica, but I usually go by Ms. Marroquin. This is my 6th year teaching English and ELD at Eastside and my 4th year being EL coordinator. I also graduated from Eastside in 2013! I am Mexican and Guatemalan, and Spanish was my 1st language, so I can really relate to our students and am passionate about helping them reach their potential and achieve their goals. I love traveling and seeing new places, being outdoors; especially if it's by the water, and I absolutely adore animals!
My name is Deborah Castillo, I have been working at eastside for 3 years. I am also a 2017 graduate from EHS. I am the Bilingual Secretary and one of Eastsides Cross Country Coaches. In my free time I love to spend time with my family, going on different adventures with them and learning to cook new foods.
Hello. My name is Cindy Perez. This is my 9th year as the EL counselor at Eastside High School. I am also the Seal of Biliteracy advisor and MEP counselor. I love working with our EL students, families and EL team. I enjoy empowering and challenging students and encourage them to take advantage of several opportunities. Every opportunity that they can get is great experience for a smoother transition towards their post-secondary education, careers and future.

Hello! My name is Gabriela Vigil, and this is my first year working as a Bilingual Instructional Aide at Eastside High School. I am proud to be part of the EL Department and to support students on their academic journey.
As a former ELD student, I understand the challenges of learning a new language. I am originally from El Salvador and graduated from high school in 2018. My personal experience inspires me to help students feel supported, confident, and successful, just as others helped me in the past.
I am currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Child, Adolescent, and Family Studies at California State University, Bakersfield. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and exploring new places. I look forward to building meaningful connections with students and being a part of their growth and success.
