Activity Overview
In this activity, your student will contribute to the experience and work of setting up the table for a meal with the family by designing a tablecloth for your dining room table. This activity is designed to activate the student's prior knowledge and memories of the people in their life, and create something that is inspired by the people attending your meal. This helps them build the part of the brain that is able to store and recall information.
Note: During Community Milestone week, there will be a meal activity that will utilize this tablecloth.
What You Need
Paint
Paint tray
Large paper roll
Cup of water (filled up about 1/3 the way up)
Paintbrushes
Napkins or paper towels

Steps
Measure the table and cut your paper approximately 6 inches longer than the table so it can be trimmed later.
Lay the paper on a protected surface on the floor and secure with painter’s tape.
