The Hard Work of Play

Play is the medium through which students learn about themselves and the world, and at Avenues, it is prioritized in the Avenues World Elements as a central learning experience. In the early years, the curriculum is designed to promote competency and the mastery of skills through a variety of experiences that ignite children’s imaginations and interests. As children grow into the older grades, these interests are supported and developed so that they can develop a sense of purpose while moving confidently into the realms of expertise and mastery.
