Hello!  My name is Carrie Gallagher.  I will be your child's first grade teacher this year.  This is my fourth year teaching at Ave Maria Academy.  However, this is my 10th year teaching in the Diocese of Pittsburgh, and my 19th year teaching.   I am every excited to be moving from second grade to first grade this year.  

I am originally from Columbus, Ohio.  My family moved to Peters Township in 2007.  I went to Ohio Dominican University.  I graduated in 1995 with a BS in elementary education.  When we moved to Pennsylvania, I went to the California University of PA where I earned my masters degree in early childhood education.  I enjoy teaching and I can't wait to spend this year with you.  

You will get to know me throughout the year so I wanted to formally introduce myself.  I grew up in Columbus, Ohio.  I am a huge Ohio State fan.  Go Bucks!  I am the oldest of three children.  My husband and I have been married for 26 years.  We have three beautiful children.  Marie is 26, Michael is 24, and Molly is 22.  I have a cat named Ralphie, and a dog named Harper.  I hope that you enjoy the pictures of my family.  I can't wait to meet your family.
