The First Day of School

Dear Jesus,

As the morning bell rings on this first day of school,

I bid good-bye to summer fun.

Awake my mind now, give me a spirit of wonder.

Capture my attention with the marvels of your world.

Arouse my curiosity for mysteries that surround me.

Help me to always be an attentive student,a loving classmate, and a prayerful child of God.

Bless my teachers and my friends, and let your Good News ring in my heart as I begin each new day.

School and Classroom Rules

Respect Others

Use respectful words and tone of voice when talking to anyone.

Leave other people's property alone.

Work to solve problems constructively, with positive actions.

Wear a mask.

Be Prepared To Learn

Begin your day with prayer.

Be in your seat and ready when class begins.

Have appropriate materials (including a novel ).

Have a small packet of tissues and small bottle of hand sanitizer in your backpack for your own personal use.

Do Your Best

Participate positively in class,

Follow all directions or ask for help if you are confused.

Stay on Task.

Learn all you can.

Only one person speaking at once so we can all hear the speaker's thoughts.

The room must be quiet during testing out of respect for those people still finishing up their test.

Quiet talking in the halls.

Speak respectfully about and to others.
