We at Govinda’s aim to provide a catering service to Avanti Trust Schools with the ethos of the Avanti Trust in mind. All our nutritional and healthy meals are carefully prepared by our staff and cooked fresh on site daily. We are delighted to update you on the following development at Avanti House Secondary School with the return of pupils on the 8^th of March 2021.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions we have had to adapt our menus and the way in which students have lunch. The menu will still have the two options: Asian/Western, Pasta of the day, paninis and jacket potato of which students can choose from, accompanied by a dessert of the day and fruit. The sandwich deli bar will also be open where we will provide a pack lunch option which will consist of sandwich/bagel/baguette or bloomer with a crisp packet, fruit and tray bake.

We have been working with the school to ensure that social distancing and bubbles can be adhere to went entering, leaving or eating the dining hall. Some of the students will have a grab and go style lunch and others will have the option to sit and dine. All food will be served on compostable/recyclable packaging and we will be using disposable until further notice.

We will be running the menu attached from the 8^th March.

Communications between us & students

We are constantly looking at ways to improve, so our relationship with the students and parents are very important. We have had meetings with a groups of selected pupils from the school which we are liaising to see what changes we can bring to improve their overall experience during this transitional period. We will be working on menu/recipe development over the coming months and trailing this with the selected represented pupils.
