Dear Parents,

Please help us make the first day of Kindergarten go smoothly and be a positive experience by following these guidelines:

1.) Be positive in conversations about preparations for the first day.

2.) Occasionally there will be a few tears. Please give your child a reassuring hug and kiss and then leave. Don’t wait outside the room and peek in to see if everything is okay. If your child sees you, it sometimes makes things worse. If we have any concerns we will call you.

3.) Please be sure to tell the teacher how your child will go home from school each day.

4.) Please have a change of clothing in your child’s backpack at all times. Clothing should include: shirt, pants, underwear, and socks that are appropriate for the season.

5.) Please leave all toys and cuddlies at home.

Ayúdenos a que el primer día de Kinder transcurra sin problemas y sea una experiencia positiva siguiendo estas pautas:

1.) Sea positivo en las conversaciones sobre los preparativos para el primer día.

2.) Ocasionalmente habrá algunas lágrimas. Dele a su hijo un abrazo y un beso tranquilizador y luego váyase. No espere fuera del salón ni espere para ver si todo está bien. Si su hijo/a la ve, a veces empeora las cosas. Si tenemos alguna inquietud, lo llamaremos.

3.) Asegúrese de decirle al maestro cómo su hijo/a se irá a casa de la escuela todos los días.

4.) Tenga un cambio de ropa en la mochila de su hijo/a en todo momento. La ropa debe incluir: camisa, pantalones, ropa interior, y calcetines que sean apropiados para la temporada.

5.) Por favor, deje todos los juguetes y mimos en casa.
