Pre-K Newsletter

October 16, 2026
Dear Pre-K Families,
On October 30th, students will be allowed to wear costumes to school. Students may NOT bring props, wear masks or anything scary, and they must be able to use the restroom independently. These are the expectations for all students on campus. Please pack an extra set of clothes for your pre-k child in case they do not want to wear their costume all day.
Love,
Ms. Cottingham & Ms. Dalton

We recently discovered an amazing free school-readiness resource on the MAGNA-TILES website that we wanted to use in our classrooms. MAGNA-TILES are a wonderful hands-on learning tool that supports color and shape recognition, fine motor skills, counting, spatial awareness, creativity, and problem-solving.
In discovering this resource, we also have a small classroom request. Each Pre-K classroom is hoping to receive three 32-piece MAGNA-TILES sets. Unfortunately, we do not currently have the funds to purchase them, so any donations or support would be greatly appreciated!
The MAGNA-TILES Classic 32-Piece Magnetic Construction Set can be found on Amazon, Target and Walmart. You can explore the free resources we are wanting to use in our classroom here:

Sign up to donate a set of MAGNA-TILES to our classrooms here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/70A0F4EADA823A5FF2-66752332-prek
Thank you so much for your continued support and generosity!
We are challenging students to find our weekly letter in the real world. If your child finds the letter T in or around your home (the actual letter or an object shaped like the letter), please take a picture and email it to their teacher. Students are excited to share their findings with their peers!
