Professional Growth & Development
The Professional Growth and Responsibilities Rubric has 5 strands related to professionalism where teachers can earn a score of 1-5, with a score of 3 being the minimum district expectation.
On the What This Might Look Like, each of the strands and indicators are highlighted in depth focusing on the score of 3 and above areas of the rubric. Examples of evidence are also included. Please note that these are only examples and that there are numerous other ways that these scores can be achieved. In the provided examples, clicking on a linked strategy or technique will lead you to a more thorough description on the resource website.
Professional Growth & Development Self-Assessment Tracker
To contribute to this portion of the appraisal, teachers will have the opportunity to self-assess and submit relevant evidence and artifacts that speak to their contributions on campus and beyond.
Teachers will have access to the self-assessment activity in the HCP starting in August, and can add to it throughout the year.
They will share and finalize prior to the March deadline to send the information to their appraiser.
Appraisers will have a few weeks to review teacher submissions and score and share the rubric for teacher review.
The self-assessment is not required, however, if not submitted, the campus appraiser will need to score the rubric with their own knowledge of the teacher.
