Hello, my name is Ms. Weitekamp (wheat-e-camp).

This is my third year at Joslin. I am the Functional Academic Life Skills Teacher for our Special Education Department.

I graduated from SIU Carbondale with a degree in Early Childhood Development for Child and Family Services. In 2014, I joined an Austin AmeriCorps program called Literacy First. While I served with AmeriCorps, I obtained my special education certification through the Region 13 ECS program.

When I'm not teaching, I love to roller skate. I also like to play basketball, ride my bicycle, skateboard, jump on the trampoline, play frisbee and explore nature!

I believe in a growth mindset, and I know that there are bright futures ahead!
