Lively has two amazing teachers who lead our travel programs. Read more about them below.
I love to travel the world. I've been to 49 countries around the world. I've been trying to get to 50, but I keep revisiting places I've been before! Hoping to get to Iceland in 2027 with my family! I've been to 6 of the 7 continents (still holding out hope for visiting Antarctica at some point!) I've now been to 48 of the 50 states. I traveled to Alaska for the first time in the summer of 2025. Now all that is left is North & South Dakota. Plans for a family trip in that area are already in the works for Summer 2026. It will be so much fun to complete all 50 states!
I think it's important for students to see and experience the world. Exploring new places opens up so many possibilities for students and different ways for them to learn.
I teach Journalism classes at Lively: Digital Newspaper, Yearbook, Photojournalism & Intro to Journalism. I was Teacher of Promise at Lively in 2023-2024. This is my 3rd year teaching at Lively.
My hope is to lead trips that are arts & culture focused. Last year, I completed my first travel trip to London at Spring Break with 13 students. My students had a blast. You can read reviews of the trip here.
I also supported Ms. King in Italy this past summer as a chaperone on our Sustainable Farming in Northern Italy trip. We took 10 students and we had so much fun!
We have plans in place for an amazing trip to Washington DC & NYC for Spring Break 2026 and we just announced that we will be going to Spain for Spring Break 2027!

I travel for the desire to experience new places, cultures, and environments it drives curiosity and a sense of adventure for me. For me it leads to self-discovery, it broadens my perspective, and I build my resilience by navigating new situations. Traveling is so fun and having the feeling of the unknown brings me joy. Let's not forget the food, it’s the best experience.
I teach 6th grade Math at Lively. This is my 4th year teaching at Lively, but I've been teaching for a total of 14 years. I was the 2024-2025 Teacher of the Year at Lively.
My trips will mostly be STEM based since that's what I teach. My first travel trip was the Sustainable Farming in Northern Italy in the summer of 2025 where we saw the whole process of farm to table starting with locals who raise livestock to the process of getting the foods on the table in restaurants. It was an amazing trip.
I already have plans in place for an amazing trip to Japan in the summer of 2026. I also just announced that we will be going to Costa Rica in 2027!
