The Austin ISD Visual Arts Department believes that a Visual Arts education is essential for the development of the whole child. The arts provide students with unique experiences that allow them to explore their passions, maximize their creativity and critical thinking skills, and learn valuable lessons about self-motivation, dedication, teamwork and communication.

I have been teaching Art at Kiker Elementary since 1996. I am a proud graduate of Houston's High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, The San Francisco Art Institute, and Texas State University. Kiker is an incredible place to teach, and I am so grateful to be part of this fabulous community! Thank you for your continued support of the arts at Kiker.

Elizabeth Billman
I have been teaching Art at Kiker Elementary since 2021 and I absolutely love it here. I have 14 years of teaching experience at the Elementary and Middle School levels and 7 years as a High School Administrator. My undergraduate degrees are from Texas State University, and my Masters from Saint Edwards University. I love art, I love Austin and I love Kiker Comets! I am proud and grateful to be part of the Kiker community.
