The AISD Counseling Department strives to meet the needs of all students, and a "Mini Meeting" is designed to discover those needs. 

Ms Turner is scheduling "Mini Meetings" to tune in and listen to how each child at Joslin is feeling, how they cope with day to day strong feelings, who they can go to when they need support (awareness that they are not alone), how they get along with their classmates and how to deal with conflicts, and learn what they want to be when they grow up (a career goals check-in). Questions are age-appropriate, the younger students have fewer questions.

My goal is to visit with each student twice this school year.  Most Mini Meetings last less than 10 minutes, and will take place in the hallway or other semi-private area near the classroom.

El Departamento de Consejería de AISD se esfuerza por satisfacer las necesidades de todos los estudiantes, y una "Mini Reunión" está diseñada para descubrir esas necesidades.

La Sra. Turner está programando "mini reuniones" para sintonizar y escuchar cómo se siente cada niño en Joslin, cómo se enfrentan a los fuertes sentimientos del día a día, a quién pueden acudir cuando necesitan apoyo (conciencia de que no están solos), cómo se llevan con sus compañeros de clase y cómo lidiar con los conflictos, y cómo aprender lo que quieren ser cuando sean mayores (un chequeo de metas profesionales). Las preguntas son apropiadas para la edad, los estudiantes más jóvenes tienen menos preguntas.

Mi objetivo es visitar a cada estudiante dos veces este año escolar. La mayoría de las mini reuniones duran menos de 10 minutos y se llevarán a cabo en el pasillo u otra área semiprivada cerca del aula.
