Here is a preview of content that will be covered in each class for the week of September 15-19:
Math - We will learn about long division with multi-digit divisors using the standard algorithm. You can help at home by practicing multiplication and division facts. You can access my math website HERE.
Science- Students will test and observe the physical properties of matter ⚛️
ELA - In grammar, students will focus common and proper nouns. We will also begin drafting an expository essay about one of the U.S. regions.
Social Studies - It's Celebrate Freedom Week! Students will learn about the main ideas in the U.S. Constitution.
Reading - Students will continue developing their reading comprehension skills by focusing on characters and character conflicts. They will be introduced to Week 5 vocabulary words. We will also continue our novel study of Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt. On Monday we will have a comprehension quiz over the first 5 chapters of our book that we read in class. Please encourage your child to review these chapters in preparation. Quizlet-Vocab Link here
